All these can add up to quite a sum when you indulge in this exercise on a regular basis.

    Moreover, with online shopping, you can avoid paying sales tax if the particular website does not have a physical presence around your vicinity. That is another saving for you.

  • You can get much better bargains when you shop online and also compare products quickly before making your selection.
  • Let us now look at the only possible disadvantage credited to online shopping.

    Some people believe that online shopping is dangerous due to fears of identity theft and the fact that hackers can gain access to some of the critical personal information. You need to be aware that in the case of online shopping, the hacker is only able to gain access to your card number. When you compare this with the possibility which exists when you physically go shopping, the danger is magnified. You could get mugged and the mugger can get hold of a lot more important personal information about you by running away with your wallet. It is also not as if you can fully trust the people at the cash counter with your credit card.

    To summarize, it is obvious that the advantages of online commerce far outweighs its single disadvantage and thus scores heavily over conventional shopping.
