Official Sony PlayStation site was successfully hacked recently, it is feared thousands of  credit card details belonging to PlayStation fan may have been stolen.  The cyber-criminals behind the fraud successfully fooled visitors to the site to hand over their credit card details using classic phishing techniques; claiming the visitors computer is infected with bugs and viruses, they are then offered bogus security patch and asked to enter their credit card details to pay for it.
Security experts were surprised that a website run by a company the profile of Sony can be hacked and used by cyber-criminals in the manner Sony playstation website was recently used.
